Anna Patterson, an Xoogler(ex-Googler) who was once in charge of Google’s large search index project TeraGoogle, launched a new search engine www.cuil.com in a bid to shake the dominance of her former employer on Monday. As a fervent Google user, I will not use Cuil (pronouced cool) as my major search engine any time soon (after all as a launch version, cuil has too much to improve), but its magazine-like format search results supplemented with relevant pictures in a 2~3-columned layout sure will may let me make it as an alternative of Google when I search for celebrities' pictures.

Paris Hilton is a singer?! The hotel socialite shows her whimsical voice in the just-released official clip of the rock musical movie Repo! The Genetic Oprea. The film was scheduled to hit the screens on November 7, 2008. The movie plot from Wikipedia:

An epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Panic erupts and scientists feverishly make plans for a massive organ harvest. Out of the tragedy, GeneCo, a multi-billion dollar biotech company, emerges. GeneCo provides organ transplantation for a profit. In addition to financing options, GeneCo reserves the right to implement default remedies, including repossession. For those who can't keep up with their organ payments, collection is the responsibility of "organ repo men", skilled assassins contracted by GeneCo, ordered to recover GeneCo's property by any means necessary.

At the heart of the story is Shilo Wallace (Alexa Vega), a 17 year-old girl with a rare blood disease. She has been kept locked up and protected in her house, where she is guarded from the outside world by her father, Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head). While Shilo struggles with her wish to leave the house and experience the outside world, Nathan struggles with his secret job as the Repo Man, and more specifically, his next target, a woman named Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman). Blind Mag, an opera singer, was a friend of Nathan's now-deceased wife, and is Shilo's godmother.

The Largo family, consisting of GeneCo president Rotti (Paul Sorvino), his daughter Amber (Paris Hilton), and his two sons Luigi and Pavi (Bill Moseley and Nivek Ogre, respectively), have their own plans. Rotti is dying, and the three siblings bicker and fight about who is to take the role as head of GeneCo. But, disappointed with his own children, Rotti takes an interest in Shilo.

The stories intertwine and merge at the GeneCo opera.

Actor Ethan Hawke and wife Ryan Shawhughes has welcome a baby girl to the world, according to the media reports. The tot was named Clementine Jane Hawke. She was born last Friday by Ryan Shawhughes  at a hospital in New York City on July 18 , Mara Buxbaum, Ethan's rep told to AP.

Clementine Jane Hawke is the third child of Ethan Hawke. Her half sister Maya Ray is 10 and brother Levon Roan, 6, both of whom were given the birth by her father's ex wife Uma Thurman.

Ryan Shawhughes, 28,  was the former nanny hired by Jane Hawke , 37, and actress Uma Thurman, the couple divorced in 2005, to look after Ray and Roan. Don't know how Ryan Shawhughes and Ethan Hawke got hitched. Even more surprised, Shawhughes was announced pregnant this January. On June 3, Shawhughes and Hawke applied for their marriage license at Municipal Building on Centre Street in NYC. A week later they got married in a very private wedding ceremony.

Madonna is reportedly overwhelmed with the upcoming Sticky & Sweet world tour which kicks off in August, the alleged marital crisis with Guy Ritchie, the rumour of a sex tape with Alex Rodriguez and a book of brother Christopher Ciccone exposing secrets of her personal life.

Russ Martin, who has as worked nearly 30 years for his radio, the founder of the Russ Martin Show Listeners Foundation, which honors the families of Dallas-Fort Worth-area police and firefighters who have died in the line of duty. But it's not known if this connection, the police released little information about the incident.

Martin was released in lieu with a $10,000 bond and expected to appear on a court on an undisclosed date.

Khloe Kardashian Begins Jail Sentence on July 19, 2008

As expected, Khloe Kardashian has reportedly surrendered herself to the authorities this morning. The 24-year-old co-star of E! Keeping Up With the Kardashians turned herself into police at the Van Nuys Courthouse in Los Angeles to begin her sentence at the Lynwood Jail for violating her 2007 DUI probation.

Khloe Kardashian was sentenced July 3 at a court hearing to 30 days in jail for failing to complete roadside cleanup duty and enroll in an alcohol education class. She serves her term [which probably will be reduced to 3 days] at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood County, CA, the same facility where Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were iincarcerated after DUI sentences, noted Popcrunch.com.

Update (Finditt.com): Khloe Kardashian has come out of the prison after serving 173 minutes of her 30 days sentence.

Khloe Kardashian was released from jail after serving less than 3 hours of her 30 day sentence. The 24-year-old entered prison today at 10:36 a.m. and was released at 1:29 p.m. due to an early release policy for nonviolent offenders.

At an age of nearly 63 years old, the Academy-winning actress Helen Mirrien was totally hot in the pink bikini.

When Dame Helen Mirren packed a bikini for this year's summer holiday, she probably didn't imagine that several million women would soon be looking at her in wonder - and with a little bit of envy.

The 62 year-old actress has inadvertently provided the picture of the week, prompting intense discussion after she was snapped on a beach in Puglia in southern Italy.

Shading her eyes with her hand, Mirren looks so self-assured that it's hard to believe most women's anguished holiday dilemma - should I take the bikini or stick to a flattering one-piece? - has even crossed her mind.

Some women are only in their forties when they decide to play safe and cover up on the beach. In the photograph published yesterday, Mirren has wisely avoided a thong, but there's no denying that she's gone for an eye-catching bright red ensemble with low-slung bikini briefs that show off her enviably flat stomach.

As she approaches her 63rd birthday next week, Mirren looks like a real woman: curvy, voluptuous and proud of it.

The wife of baseball star Roger Clemens who was named in Mitchell Report for allegedly having used steroids or human growth hormone (HGH) this February, was also alleged of the injection of HGH before taking photos for a 2003 issue of Sports Illustrated magazine. She [Debbie Clemens] used HGH to prepare for her appearance in a bikini in a husband-and-wife photo in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

Witnesses say Debbie Clemens used the HGH, but disagree over who injected it. In a statement last February, she said says she did, while Brian McNamee, the pitcher’s personal trainer, says McNamee did at the direction of Roger Clemens.

Roger Clemens, the seven-time Cy Young Award winner, is under investigation for possibly perjury. He has denied under oath using HGH, or having any prior knowledge that his wife was going to use HGH. New York Daily News is reporting Kirk Radomski (pictured left), the confessed drug supplier, has provided the authorities with shipping receipts for a package of two kits of HGH that he sent in late 2002 or 2003 to Clemens at the pitcher's palatial mansion in Houston. These key documents may finally lead the Federal investigators to find the proofs wether Roger Clemens or Debbie Clemens had used HGH or not.

Todd Doxey Death: UO Football Player Todd Doxey Drowned in McKenzie River in Oregon

In an unexpected incident, Todd Doxey, a promising football player of University of Oregon, died on Sunday afternoon after jumping into the McKenzie River from the Marcola Road Bridge in Springfield, Oregon. From Dailyemerald.com

According to a release from the Oregon sports information department, Doxey joined several teammates who were inner tubing down the river, but jumped off the Marcola Road Bridge after his teammates were downstream. He jumped at around 3:20 p.m. but struggled to swim across the current.

After being picked out of the water by a boater coming down the river, he was given CPR on the shore. He was initially taken to McKenzie-Willamette Hospital in Springfield before being transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital, where Doxey was pronounced dead at 8:05 p.m.

"Anytime a young man or woman dies, it's just a tragedy," Oregon head football coach Mike Bellotti said. "My heart goes out to his family and to our players, some whom were there and some who will find out about it later. This is just one of those things we don't have answers for."

Born 1989 in San Diego, California, Todd Doxey was 19 years old. He graduated from Hoover High School in his native city in 2007 and was recruited by University of Oregon.

It's official! Angelina Jolie finally gives birth to a pair of boy and girl twins by Cesarian section at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France on the night of Saturday, July 12, 2008. The boy was named Knox Leon, weighing 5.03 pounds and the girl Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, 5 pounds. Knox Leon came out 15 minutes earlier than Vivienne Marcheline. Dr. Michel Sussmann, the obstetrician who delivered Brangelina twins, told AP that the 33-year-old actress, her newly born twin babies and their father Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well." DeAnna Pappas Jason Mesnick Are A Couple On The Bachelorette Season Finale July 7?

July 7's The Bachelorette season finale is hours away from airing on ABC starting at 8pm. As earlier DeAnna Pappas, The Bachelorette, teased she already got engaged, many are keen to know who won The Bachelorette, Jason Mesnick or Jesse Csincsak. The official result must have to wait until the end of the show. But when scrutinizing the entertainment news online, we found Jason Mesnick seems to be a favorite winner. Like Thinkfashion, the website even listed three reasons why Jason may win:

1. When DeAnna was on the Bachelor (remember when she got shafted by Brad Womack at the final rose ceremony?) she made it very clear that she wanted a man who was ready for commitment and someone who was in a stable position in their lives. Jesse is a professional snowboarder and, while that’s a very fun and spontaneous career path, it’s not one of stability and this may affect DeAnna’s final decision tonight.
2. DeAnna loves the way Jason is with his son. Not only has DeAnna had a connection with Jason since the very beginning but she also had a connection with his son after meeting him on her and Jason’s hometown date. DeAnna wouldn’t have become so attached to his son if she didn’t plan on seeing him ever again – at least we hope she wouldn’t.

For us, no matter who will be picked by DeAnna Pappas, just hope them can have a happy life and never to get a split or divorce.

Lee Gravis Death: Christina Applegate's Boyfriend Lee Gravis Died of Overdosed Drug

Lee Gravis Death! Lee Gravis, boyfriend of Christina Applegate, actress of Smantha Who, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment on July 1. Lee Gravis's body was discovered Tuesday afternoon in his living room by a neighbor. The Los Angeles coroner's department has ruled the death cause was a drug overdose.

Dr. Michael Sussmann: Brangelina Twins to Be Born in Weeks
