An "extreme suspicious" fire burned down rapper 50 Cent's millions of dollars valued house yesterday morning in Long Island, New York. While the authorities is investigating who is the arsonist, we hear that Shaniqua Tompkins, 50 Cent's former girlfriend, accused her ex of being the mastermind behind the arson. Tompkins is claiming the rapper is behind the fire, which engulfed the Long Island home.

“He threatened me. [He said] ‘Watch what I’ll do. I’ll have somebody kill you’ and this is what he did,” Tompkins told reporters following the blaze. “He cannot except that I moved on with my life. He tried to kill me and his own child.”

Tompkins was home at the time, along with 50’s 10-year-old son, Marquise. They, along with four others, were hospitalized after suffering smoke inhalation and later released, according to officials.

“[We] couldn’t make it downstairs. We had to jump out the window,” Tompkins claimed.

“Do you think he hired someone to do this?” a reporter on the scene asked Tompkins after the fire.

“Yes, he’s too much of a coward to do it himself,” she insisted. “He has made no attempt to find out if his son is OK.”

Brooke, 30, wore a white Reem Acra gown while Charlie, 42, was in a simple black Pronto Uomo suit from the Mens Wearhouse with a gray-and-black striped tie and a white Prada shirt.

Shimon Perez, the country's President, announced on Thursday. Angelina Jolie has given birth to twin girls in France, reported Entertainment Tonight. "Babies are great and so is mom," an unnamed spy close to the actress confirmed to the entertainment site. The names of Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie (Bragenlina) twins are said to be Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane Jolie-Pitt. Marcheline is after Jolie's mother while Amelie Jame after Brad's.

A total of six persons including Shanique Tompkins and her son suffered smoke inhalation but no life threats. The firefight squad called the fire "definitely suspicious", Newsday reported.

"I would say there is a strong -- a strong, strong -- possibility that it is suspicious," said Dix Hills Fire Department Chief Larry Feld, among the first firefighters to arrive on the scene.

Dianne Odell, an inspirational lady from Tennessee who spent nearly six decades of her life in an iron lung, died after her breath-supporting machine was stricken by a power failure. Ms. Odell suffe

A woman who spent nearly 60 years of her life in an iron lung after being diagnosed with polio as a child died Wednesday after a power failure shut down the machine that kept her breathing, her family said.

Dianne Odell, 61, had been confined to the 7-foot-long machine since she was stricken by polio at 3 years old.

Family members were unable to get an emergency generator working for the iron lung after a power failure knocked out electricity to the Odell family's residence near Jackson, about 80 miles northeast of Memphis, brother-in-law Will Beyer said.

"We did everything we could do but we couldn't keep her breathing," said Beyer, who was called to the home shortly after the power failed. "Dianne had gotten a lot weaker over the past several months and she just didn't have the strength to keep going."

Capt. Jerry Elston of the Madison County Sheriff's Department said emergency crews were called to the scene, but could do little to help.

Odell was afflicted with "bulbo-spinal" polio three years before a polio vaccine was discovered and largely stopped the spread of the crippling childhood disease.

She spent her life in the iron lung, cared for by her parents and other family members. Though confined inside the 750-pound apparatus, Odell managed to get a high school diploma, take college courses and write a children's book.

The iron lung that she used was a cylindrical chamber with a seal at the neck. She lay on her back in the device with only her head exposed, and made eye contact with visitors using an angled mirror above her head. The lung worked by producing positive and negative pressure on the lungs that caused them to expand and contract so that she could breathe.

Iron lungs were first used to sustain life in 1928, and were largely replaced by positive-pressure airway ventilators in the late 1950s. A spinal deformity from the polio made it impossible for Odell to wear a more modern, portable breathing apparatus, so she continued to use the older machine.

Chris Cagle and his girlfriend were being held in a Nashville jail Wednesday morning (May 28) after both were arrested hours earlier on domestic assault charges, according to WTVF-TV in Nashville.

Cagle's latest arrest occurred around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday after he and girlfriend Jennifer Tant visited Players Inn, a bar located west of Nashville in the Bellevue community. Police reports indicate the couple got into a verbal dispute after leaving the bar and that the disagreement apparently escalated into a physical altercation once they arrived at Cagle's home.

After arriving at Cagle's house, officers determined that Cagle and Tant appeared to be intoxicated and that both showed signs of physical abuse. According to a police affidavit, Cagle had a bump on his head caused by Tant hitting him with an umbrella, and Taut had a scrape on her lip and a sore arm from Cagle hitting her with her purse. According to the television station, the couple refused to leave the house, and Tant told police she would rather go to jail than leave Cagle's home.

Cagle and Tant were arrested and taken into custody under Tennessee state domestic violence laws that considered both of them to be a primary aggressor. The law also mandates that both of them remain in jail until 4:40 p.m. Wednesday. Bond has been set at $1,500 each.

I guess the same thing goes for people died in the tsunami, 9/11, Katrina, and Myanmar cyclone——well, God and Bin Laden don’t like whatever your government did, so go to hell.

I'd also like to point out that the epic center of this earthquake,Aba County in Sichuan Province, is heavily populated by Tibetan Minority. Dear Dior,

As a Chinese consumer of Dior, I am very disappointed with Dior’s spokesperson, Ms. Sharon Stone’s comments to the Sichuan earthquake recently, as she takes this heavy lost of lives and a humanitarian disaster as a "Karma" for Chinese people’s "wrong deeds". This kind of remarks deeply hurt Chinese people’s feeling and are totally unacceptable. I’ve been using Dior’s cosmetic and skincare products for years and your makeup foundations and the Dior Snow line have been

my favorites, however, I’m gonna boycott Dior’s product from now on until you terminate the Capture Totale endorsement with Ms. Stone, and that’s because:

1, Ms. Stone shows no basic sympathy to Chinese people’s lives and feeling under a circumstance like this and it would definitely do harm to Dior’s brand image.

2, Talking about Dior’s brand image, the Capture Totale line’s target clientele should be women who are mature, intelligent and beautiful, but I could see nothing mature, intelligent or beautiful in Ms. Stone’s comments.

3, Yes, people just have the right to believe what they think is right. BUT It is totally unprofessional to be a spokesperson for a brand like Dior to talk about a disaster like this in public for Ms.Stone.

And I believe that I’m not alone in this, actually, many of my friends have decided to boycott Dior’s product after this happened. However, I believe that Mr. Stone’s comments do not necessarily represent Dior’s point of view and Dior does care about Chinese consumers’ feeling and cherish the Chinese market. So isn’t this a time for Dior to consider

whether it really needs a spokesperson like Ms. Sharon Stone or not. I’ll be waiting for your final decision and hopefully I would be able to walk into a department store and come to a Dior counter in the near future without the angry and disappointed feeling I’m having right now.

A Boeing 747 cargo plane belonging to Michigan-based Kalitta Air crashed at the end of a runway and split in two while trying to take off Sunday at the Brussels Zaventem Airport. Mercifully the plane did not catch fire, although firefighters coated the wings with a special fire-retardant foam as a precaution, as its fuel tanks were still filled with highly flammable jet fuel. No causalities were caused, but four of the five crew members on board the aircraft were slightly injured and were hospitalized, according to the authorities at the Brussels Airport. As we moved through the season, I fell in love with her. We went through a lot of weird stuff, but it never fazed either of us. Maybe her dad brainwashed me one of the nights I passed out at her house, because no matter what happened, I was crazy about her. More likely it was her mom, since I was usually trying to impress the old man by drinking him under the table. 

It's amazing that the last three years together have gone by so fast. I'm getting married this Friday evening. I asked Christy to be my wife nine months ago, and I'm a lucky man; she chose to be with me.  I think she has learned being with a football player is harder than it looks. She is looked through countless times by surrounding football fans, and the funny thing is Christy should be getting the attention. Not to mention she has to put up with my terrible attitude five months out of the year (A.K.A. football season).

While I can't wait to put the ring on I've had some resoundingly bad conversations over the last couple of months. Golf may have an uncountable list of ethics, though bothering a complete stranger about getting married is not one of them. First of all, I'm excited for the big day, so please don't feel sorry for me because marriage sucks for you. No, I'm not nervous, I don't want any marriage advice, and yes Christy's mom is still hot.  

From the moment Christy said "yes" the plans began. I have to admit I haven't been the most avid planning participant, but one thing I was put in charge of was the seating. I'll say this: It should at least be an interesting night. I've had calls from numerous wedding guests, most recently Dan Snyder's assistant asking what table they could find their seats. Obviously my easiest seating solution, anywhere you can find a chair. I'm not trying to stick Dan with my drunken uncle, but drawing up all those name tags was way over my head.

I'm hoping for a huge night on Friday.  We've paid for two open bars, and invited nothing short of an Animal House cast of characters. Although I hope Clinton's friends -- Southeast Jerome and co. -- don't crash the party. After our vows the only promise I will make is to not stuff the cake all over Christy's face. The rest of the reception is free game. It will certainly be a night to remember.

Maria Sue Chapman, 5, the youngest child/daughter of gospel music singer Steven Curtis Chapman, was killed last night after she was hit by her teenage brother‘s SUV in the family driveway in Williamson County, Tennessee. Maria Sue, who was adopted from China, was playing in the driveway when she was struck by the Toyota Land Cruiser. She was airlifted to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville but later died of the injuries. Our hearts and thoughts are with Chapman's family. May God comfort them in this tragedy. Link

Following the step that Ellen DeGeneres revealed her plan to marry lesbian girlfriend Portia de Rossi after California legalized the same-sex marriage, George Takei, Mr. Sulu in Star Streks, announced he will marry boyfriend of 21 years Brad Altman. From his site:

As a Japanese American, I am keenly mindful of the subtle and not so subtle discrimination that the law can impose. During World War II, I grew up imprisoned behind the barbed wire fences of U.S. internment camps. Pearl Harbor had been bombed and Japanese Americans were rounded up and incarcerated simply because we happened to look like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor. Fear and war hysteria swept the nation. A Presidential Executive Order directed the internment of Japanese Americans as a matter of national security. Now, with the passage of time, we look back and see it as a shameful chapter of American history. President Gerald Ford rescinded the Executive Order that imprisoned us. President Ronald Reagan formally apologized for the unjust imprisonment. President George H.W. Bush signed the redress payment checks to the survivors. It was a tragic and dark taint on American history.

With time, I know the opposition to same sex marriage, too, will be seen as an antique and discreditable part of our history. As U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy remarked on same sex marriage, "Times can blind us to certain truths and later generations can see that laws once thought necessary and proper, in fact, serve only to oppress."
For now, Brad and I are enjoying the delicious dilemma of deciding where, when, and how we will be married. Marriage equality took a long time, but, like fine wine, its bouquet is simply exquisite.

Actor Dylan McDermott is divorcing from his wife of almost 13 years, actress Shiva Rose. The 46-year-old star of The Practice filed a divorce petition for in Los Angeles Superior Court last Friday May 16, citing irreconcilable differences. Dylan McDermott married with Shiva Rose, 39, on Nov. 19, 1995. The couple who got estranged in 2007 have two daughters, 12-year-old Collette Blu and 2-year-old Charlotte Rose. Film producer Cash Warren and his unborn baby mother, actress Jessica Alba have been married, reported People. Alba's rep Brad Cafarelli confirmed the marriage to the mag without giving details.

A secret Cash Warren Jessica Alba wedding happened on Monday, May 19, when the duo applied for a marriage license in the Beverly Hills courthouse. Cash Warren and Jessica Alba exchanged "I do's" at the courthouse ceremony room. Other than themselves, no any other guest attended the quiet wedding.

According to a source, they [Jessica Alba and Cash Warren] were married in the Beverly Hills courthouse's ceremony room under an arch of green silk foliage and white flowers. They were casually dressed, with Alba wearing a long blue dress and her hair back in a ponytail.

"She looked happy but nervous," the source says.

Warren, in a white shirt and brown pants, arrived with Alba at about 11:30 a.m. on Monday, applied for a marriage license and waited about 40 minutes for the paperwork to be processed before a staff member from the courthouse married them, the source says.

Nobody else attended the wedding, the source adds.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians' four cast members Khloe, Kourtney, Kim and younger brother Robert Kardashian denied improper use of the American Express credit card belonging to R&B singer Brandy, son of Sonja Norwood and brother of Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Ray J.

Kim Kardashian and the rest of her reality-TV relatives have lashed out at allegations slung by her former employer—and, making things trickier, her ex-boyfriend's mother—Sonja Norwood, denying in papers filed in response to Brandy's mom's lawsuit that they improperly rang up $120,000 in unauthorized charges while Kim worked as a stylist for the brood.

In addition to Kim, Sonja Norwood's lawsuit also names Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Kardsahian Jr. Norwood says she had given Kim an American Express account to cover incidentals, only to have Kim share the credit card number with her siblings, who proceeded to ring up exorbitant charges between 2006 and 2007.

Kim was enlisted as a stylist for Brandy back in 2004, when Kardashian was dating—and making videos with—the singer's brother, Ray J. Norwood is seek the total return of the money, along with 10 percent interest.

Larissa Schuster, The Vat Murder Who Sealed Husband in Acid, Sentenced Life in Jail

Larissa Schuster, pictured above, a biochemist of Clovis, California, was sentenced May 16 to life in jail without parole by Fresno County Superior Court.

The 47-year-old woman was convicted in December of killing Timothy Schuster by knocking him out and stuffing him into a vat of acid - possibly while still alive in 2003. She was accused of committing for financial gain as the couple was in the middle of a fierce divorce battle after nearly 20 years of marriage.

Testifying before the judge, Kristin, Larissa and Timothy  Schuster's adult daughter, said she now felt safer after her mother was to be locked up in the prison.

"I've been living for five years not knowing if I would have to worry for my own safety. In your quest to become a dominating power freak, you became your own demon. You have hurt me for so many years and probably smiled inside, but look who's smiling now." Kristin Schuster said.

Oscar Pistorius, South African's Double-amputee Sprinter, Wins Olympic Appeal

Oscar Pistorius, pictured below, South African's double-amputee sprinter, has won an appeal to allow him to compete at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, ruled the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne on May 16.

Oscar Pistorius was originally banned by IAAF to compete at an able-bodied athletes' Olympic event in January, being alleged of two of his prosthetic limbs (Cheetah Flex-Foot) giving an unfair advantage.

After today’s ruling he can be selected for the South African relay team immediately, but will still have to reach the qualifying time in order to compete in the individual event.

Oscar Pistorius was born without fibulas (see picture above), the long, thin outer bone between the knee and ankle, and at 11 months old, his legs were amputated. But the atrocities did not hinder him to be a great paralympic athlete.

His 10.91 second time in the 100m on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, makes Pistorius the first amputee to officially break the 11-second mark. On July 13, 2007, for the first time, he ran with able bodied athletes in the 400 m race at the high level competition- Rome's Golden Gala and finished second in run B with a time of 46.90s (see video below).

Oscar Pistorius had won a gold and bronze medalist at the 2004 Athens Paralympics. He created the 400 metre Paralympic world record of 46.56 seconds.

California gay marriage is now constitutional, the California Supreme Court ruled in a 4-to-3 decision to overturn the same sex marriage ban in the state on Thursday, May 15.

“In view of the substance and significance of the fundamental constitutional right to form a family relationship,” Chief Justice Ronald M. George wrote of marriage for the majority, “the California Constitution properly must be interpreted to guarantee this basic civil right to all Californians, whether gay or heterosexual, and to same-sex couples as well as to opposite-sex couples.”

The decision becomes effective in 30 days. California will be the only second State after Massachusetts to allow gay marriages!

The reasons? According to a family spy, the senior Spears doesn't want the 17-year-old daughter to be a single mother for her granddaughter.

“Jamie Lynn is having a shotgun wedding, and it’s Lynne who is holding the shotgun!” says the family insider. “Lynne is determined not to let her younger daughter be a single mother.”

Sichuan Wenchuan Earthquake Rocks China

A strong earthquake in Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province has rocked China on May 12, 2008. The earthquake measured 7.8 on the Richter scale according to China's State Seismological Bureau was felt in the thousands-kilometers-away provinces or regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hongkong, and Taiwan among others. The powerful earthquake killed at least 107 8533 people and buried thousands of middle school students in Sichuan as the tremor caused buildings to fall. The epicenter of the quake was located 31.0 degrees north latitude and 103.4 degrees east longitude, reported Xinhua.

Wenchuan is believed to the worst hit area in the quake. As the local telecommunications have totally been cut off, there are no immediate causalities reported and  the authorities now have to rely on the military helicopters to inspect the affected area. For those who are panda lovers, you may have to worry about Wenchuan, because it is home to Wolong National Natural Reserve, the place where Sichuan Wolong Panda Protection and Breed Center is situated.

Hannah Montana teen sensation Miley Cyrus is these days recovering from the shock originating from the "embarrassing" photos under the lens of renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz for Vanity Fair magazine.

Apparently, the controversy made Hugh Hefner, the 82-year-old founder of Playboy, come up with an idea that lets Miley Cyrus pose for the men's magazine after she reaches the legal age, say 18 years old.

“She’d be welcomed in the magazine. Very pretty lady,” Hefner told the “Extra” show recently.

Responding to the 15-year-old Disney star's suggestive pictures during the interview,  Mr. Hefner said,  “I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality.”

We guess Miley Cyrus will never accept that offer, as we don't think she would be the next Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan.

It's a happy Mother's Day for an Arkansas woman — she's pregnant with her 18th child.

Duggar said she's six weeks along and the pregnancy is going well. She and her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, said they'll keep having children as long as God wills it.

The Duggars' oldest child, Josh, is 20, and the youngest, Jennifer, is nine months old.

Update: Michelle Duggar gave birth to her 18th child, named Jordyn-Grace Duggar Tursday on December 18, 2008.

Jordyn-Grace was born via C-section at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, weeks before her due date of Jan. 1. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 3 oz and was 20 inches long.

The massive Daisetta sinkhole believed to be as long as two football fields and up to 100 feet deep has swallowed vehicles and oil field equipment. It is still developing. Daisetta, a town of 1000 population, is a once booming oil town. The ground might have caved in because of the collapse of an old salt dome where oil brine and natural gas are stored underground. The rumor that Kobe Bryant won his first NBA career Most Valuable Player of the year turns out true. The 29-year-old Los Angeles Laker's defend was officially named the 2007-08 NBA's MVP on Tuesday after leading his team to the best record in the league's Western Conference in this season.

"It's been one hell of a year. To watch the development of our younger players and see the development of this team has been amazing. There is nothing like winning a championship but this is special. ...This is an award I couldn't have won on my own. I can't thank these guys (his teammates) enough." Kobe Bryant, who will receive a trophy tonight from NBA commissioner David Stern, told at a press conference.
