Andrea Faustino Divorced to David Faustino

Andrea Faustino (original named Andrea Elmer)is the (ex) wife of Married ... with Children actor David Faustino.

The twosome who met at a spiritual center in Los Angeles and dated for 5 years, married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas January 2004 and but separated in May 2006.

David, who played Bud Bundy on the hit TV comedy, filed for divorce in February, citing irreconcilable differences.

Not until Friday December 29, Los Angeles Superior Court handed down the rule which officially ended David-Andrea Faustino marriage.

According to this AP report, the couple have also reached agreements on spousal support, division of property and attorney fees.

Tennessee Knoxville Hooters Shooting

An angry customer who was reluctant to pay his  bill fired several shots into a Hooter's restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee, leaving a manager and a customer in critical condition Saturday.

Police were searching for the man, who left on foot just after midnight, Knoxville Police Department Lt. Kenny Miller said.

Managers asked the man to leave after he refused to pay his bill, according to Miller. The man went outside and started firing shots from a .40-caliber handgun at the building, Miller said.

A customer leaving the restaurant and a manager inside were in critical condition at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

The gunman was described as 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with a slender build. He was missing his front teeth, according to Miller. He wore blue jeans decorated with rhinestones, a black jacket that featured a design of what was thought to be a skeleton made of rhinestones and he wore heavy jewelry and large-gauge earrings. He carried a backpack.

Julia Gregg, a 34-year-old British woman, married to 21-year-old foster son Krenar Lleshi on Christmas Eve In South Wales. 

Krenar, who was a refugee from Kosovo to Britain, was fostered by Julia and her ex-husband Steve Crandon since a teenager. Now he works as a plumber.

"They're nothing bad!" she said. "At first, I was really upset. It really sucks. [The girl in the pictures] was a friend of mine that's a normal girl. [Now] she has to go to school and deal with this crap. It's two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that's bad, then what is the world coming to?

Reby Sky (picture left), original name Rebecca Reys, is a former Playboy Playmate. The 21-year-old model was arrested over a traffic offence on December 23.

Model Reby Sky loves the camera -- just not the one at the Hillsborough County Jail. She says the latest headshot in her portfolio, a mugshot, is awful.

Sky, a former Playboy Playmate whose real name is Rebecca Reyes, was arrested December 23. She is accused of obstructing officers following a run-in with Temple Terrace police at a traffic stop outside her apartment.

"The officers don't care if she's a Playboy Bunny," said Temple Terrace Police spokesman Mike Dunn.

Police say they pulled over her truck because the tail lights were out.

Sometimes, it takes a Texan to prove that people will stoop to anything to get what they want. Meet Priscilla Ceballos, and her lying daughter, Alexis Menjivar, both of whom have brought (even more) shame on Texas and people of Hispanic heritage. More on that in a second, including public information on her that she doesn’t want you to know.

A Garland, Texas six year old and her mother came up with the best lie, at least these days, to get into a January concert, to be held in Albany. The precious little girl, who her mother identifies as Alexis on her MySpace page, and who calls her a “little celebrity” in an obvious nose-thumbing to the incident, wrote an essay claiming that her dad died in Iraq.

Problem is, he didn’t. The father, Jonathan Menjivar, is alive and well in another Texas town. The mother, Priscilla Ceballos, 25, is angry because of what she says are misconceptions. What’s to misunderstand? The girl’s writing is there for all to see. She claimed that her dad died in Iraq, when he never even went to Iraq, and above all, is alive and well.

Tab Thacker, NCAA Championship Wrestler and Actor, Dies at 45

Tab Thacker, the former NCAA wrestling champion and movie actor, died Thursday (Dec 27) night after several years of declining health. He was 45.

The 6-foot-5 450-pound Thacker won the NCAA wrestling championship in 1984, took three-time All-American and four-time Atlantic Coast Conference champion during four seasons at N.C. State University.

After his wrestling career, Thacker went on to appear in several Hollywood films, including City Heat, Wildcats, Police Academy 4, Police Academy 5 and Identity Crisis.

Retired from films, Thacker became a bail bondsman in Raleigh.

Thacker developed diabetes several years ago, and the disease became progressively worse with the passage of time. He had a foot amputated several years ago, and lost both legs in the last few months.

Terry Armour death. Chicago Tribune entertainment columnist Terry Armour (biography) passed away unexpectedly at age 46. Armour has been working for the newspaper for nearly 30 years. He mysteriously fell ill in the afternoon and was rushed to the hospital, sadly, Terry Armour couldn't live through the illness and died. Link

Jim Leyritz's DUI Car Crash Killed Woman Fredia Ann Veitch

Jim Leyritz's DUI Car Crash! Jim Leyritz (mugshot left), a former New York Yankee star was charged with manslaughter driving while intoxicated charges after a fatal crash in the wee hours of Friday on December 28. Leyritz was arrested in Fort Lauderdale of Florida after he collided his 2006 Ford Expedition with Fredia Ann Veitch's 2000 Mitsubishi Motero in the city's bar area at around 3:30am. The female driver Ann Veitch (picture below) who is 30-year-old mother of two was seriously injured on the spot after ejecting from her car and later died at Broward General Medical Center.

Jim Leyritz posted the US$11,000 bond and was released from Broward County jail.

Witnesses told police Leyritz had a red light. Officers on the scene observed Leyritz to have red, watery eyes, a flushed face and an odour of alcohol, click here to read Broward County Sheriff's Office report.

Leyritz, who also faces a property damage charge, faces up to 15 years in prison and a 10,000-dollar fine if convicted of vehicular homicide, a second degree felony in Florida. Evan Zimmerman, a Wrongly Convicted 1st-Degree Murder

Evan Zimmerman (picture left) is a former Wisconsin officer from Monona. In 2001, he was a wrongly convicted first-degree murder of his girlfriend Kathleen Thompson, 38, of Eau Claire.

He spent three years in prison until the conviction was thrown out in 2005.

Zimmerman sued the city of Eau Claire and three Eau Claire Police Officers. But his suit was dismissed. On July 1, Zimmerman died of cancer when he was in the process of appealing that decision. Benazir Bhutto: Bin Laden Murdered Interview Video

In an interview with the presenter David Frost, Benazir Bhutto asserted that Osama Bin Laden was murdered.But unfortunately Bhutto herself was assasinated by bin Laden's Al-Qaida suicide attacker's shrapel.

A spokesperson of Al-Qaeda has Thursday claimed responsibility for the killing of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto, Italian independent news agency Adnkronos International (AKI) said.     

"We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat the mujahadeen," Al-Qaeda's commander and main spokesperson Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid told AKI in a phone call from an unknown location.

Al-Yazid, who is the main Al-Qaeda commander in Afghanistan, said that the decision to kill Bhutto, who is the leader of the opposition Pakistan People's Party (PPP), was made by al-Qaeda number two Ayman Al-Dhawahiri in October this year, according to AKI.

Valerie Begue Keeps Miss France Title

Valerie Begue, the beauty pageant from he French overseas département of Réunion in Indian Ocean, was crowned the title of Miss France 2008 on December 8.

But when those so-called racy photos published by the Entrevue magazine surfaced on the internet, Miss France Committee threatened to strip of her title.

Now possibly due to the pressure from Begue's hometown where many of the 800,000 inhabitants have risen up to support her, Genevieve de Fontenay president of Committee Miss France, the formidable 75-year-old who has run the Miss France contest for more than 50 years, had agreed to keep Valerie's crown and not to take the matter further.

Benazir Bhutto's Last Makeup

As the photo above shows, Former Pakistan's Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was applying makeup for an assembly later held in Rawalpindi's Liaqat Bagh Park, Dec. 27, 2007. Bhutto, the head of Parkistan People's Party (PPP) was assasinated (video) in a gun and bomb attack after the rally.

The slain Pakistani opposition leader was believed to die from bullet wounds. But Dr. Mussadiq Khan, a surgeon who treated her at Rawalpindi General Hospital, said that Bhutto died from shrapnel that hit her on the right side of the skull.

Darius Miller Was Beaten In Atlanta

Darius Miller, 41, a professional celebrity fitness trainer and promoter, was brutally attacked by a group of cowards calling themselves 01 Entertainment in a parking lot on Pine and Peachtree Street around 2:50AM Wednesday (Dec 26) morning.

Miller was walking with one of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin's daughters and four other women outside of the D'Jangos restaurant to their cars when a group of men approached them and attempted to video tape the women. Miller asked the photographers to leave the women alone and was subsequently attacked by the group, which numbered at least 7 men.

Miller is now in critical condition and doctors fear he may have suffered some brain damage. Nobody was arrested in connection with this attack till now.

Meagan Harper, an Oregon Woman with Multi-DUI Charges

Meet Meagan Harper, an Oregon woman who drove under a blood alcohol level of 0.55--nearly seven times greater than Oregon's legal limit (0.08) for driving while on probation for DUI.

At that level, some people are so drunk they would even stop breathing, according to Dr. Mohamud Daya, an Oregon Health & Science University associate professor and emergency room physician.

Luckily, Meagan Harper was saved thanks to an officer who found her when she fainted in a car at a pizza restaurant on Nov. 28.

On Wednesday, Harper who has at least two previous drunken-driving convictions was charged with drunk driving again in Clackamas County.

Rebecca De Mornay DUI Charge

Rebecca De Mornay, the actress played the prostitute who befriends Tom Cruise's high school student in the 1983 film "Risky Business," was officially charged by the L.A District Attorney's office with two counts of misdemeanor driving under the influence, TMZ.com first reported.

De Mornay , 48, was arrested on the night of Oct. 30 for a traffic violation on Sunset Blvd in Beverly Hills when officers detected an odor of alcoholic beverages on her breath. De Mornay was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, but failed. Her blood alcohol level was read at .09.

According to a Los Angeles District Attorney's spokeswoman, Rebecca De  Mornay was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of .08. Benazir Bhutto Assassination Video

In October, Benazir Bhutto narrowly escaped an assassination (video here) where killed more than 140 people on the day she returned to Pakistan after nearly ten year's self-exile. Unfortunately, Bhutto couldn't survive another assassination (video above, pictures here) staged by the man what Perez Musharaf called him the extremist. Bhutoo was shot in the neck and chest by the attacker, who then blew himself up. The main cause of Bhutto's death was the damage to her spinal cord inflicked by a bullet pierced through the neck.

Courtney Prince (photo left), a former captain of the Rangers City Skaters cheerleading squad, filed a lawsuit against Madison Square Garden in 2004. She has accused the MSG executives of sexually harassing her often and telling her which of the skaters had to lose weight or "stuff their bras". She also accused that a team employee and another man asked her to have sex with them in the bathroom of a New York bar.

Not like Anucha Browne-Sanders who successfully sued against the New York Knicks and Madison Square Garden over sexual-harrassment and was awarded US$11.5. On Wednesday December 26, Prince and MSG struck an out-of-court deal that no details of the settlement of the three-year-old lawsuit, both sides saying "We resolved this matter with no admission of wrongdoing on the part of any party."

Bell Steals Elisha Gray's Telephone Patent Idea?

In a new book "The Telephone Gambit: Chasing Alexander Graham Bell's Secret," due out January 7, journalist Seth Shulman, claims to have definitive evidence of a long-suspected technological crime - that Alexander Graham Bell [picture left] stole ideas for the telephone from a rival, Elisha Gray. Author Shulman believes that Bell — aided by aggressive lawyers and a corrupt patent examiner — got an improper peek at patent documents Gray had filed, and that Bell was erroneously credited with filing first. ...Author Seth Shulman shows that Bell's notebooks contain false starts, and then after a 12-day gap during which he visited the US Patent Office, suddenly show an entirely different design, very similar to Gray's design for multiplexing Morse code signals. Shulman claims that Bell copied the design from Gray's patent application and was improperly given credit for earlier submission, with the help of a corrupt patent examiner and aggressive lawyers. Shulman also claims that fear of being found out is the reason Bell distanced himself from the company that carried his name. And if Gray Telephone doesn't seem to roll off the tongue, Shulman also noted that both of them were two decades behind the German inventor Johann Philipp Reis, who produced the first working telephony system."

Jeanne Carmen, Pinup Girl and B-movie actress, Dies of Lymphoma

Jeanne Carmen (picture left), a 1950s pinup girl, B-movie actress and trick-shot golfer  has passed away, at 77 years old. .

Brandon James, Carmen's son said her mother died of lymphoma on Thursday at her home in Orange County, California. 

Jeanne 'Laverne' Carmen [wiki] was born in Paragould, Arkansas on August 4, 1930.

As a child she picked cotton with her family before running away from home at age 13. The small-town girl with measurements of 36-26-36 was still a teenager when she arrived in New York. Soon, she landed a job as a dancer in Burlesque, with Burt Lahr. Later she became a model, appearing in several men's magazines. She also became a trick golfer, appearing with Jack Redmond.

While in her 20s, she came to Hollywood and appeared in B movies such as Guns Don't Argue and The Monster of Piedras Blancas. She also appeared in Three Stooges shorts such as Happy, Wealthy, and Dumb.

A friend of Marilyn Monroe, Carmen had alleged affairs with Frank Sinatra, John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Errol Flynn, and many others. The following two videos show Jeanne Carmen was interviewed on History Channel on Monroe's death.

San Francisco Zoo Tiger Attack Killed One, Injuired Two

An escaped tiger attacked and killed a zoo visitor this afternoon in a cafe at the San Francisco Zoo, where is home to both Siberian and Sumatran tigers. It was not clear which subspecies of tiger was involved in the incident.

The tiger was shot and killed after attacking two other visitors, said Mindy Talmadge, the spokeswoman for the San Francisco Fire Department. Both of the victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Update: According to Finditt News, the tiger which attacked zoo patrons is named Tatiana, the same tiger that attacked and mauled a trainer at the zoo last year.

Update: FOX news reported the tiger Tatiana might have been provoked before it attacked visitors.

One witness said at least one of the victims had provoked the tiger, which had been out of its cage an estimated 15 to 20 minutes, police said.

When officers arrived after responding to the 911 call, they "saw a tiger sitting next to a person who was sitting on the ground," Police Chief Heather Fong said.

They then "yelled at the animal to stop. They did not fire immediately. ... when the yelling was occurring the animal turned toward the officers" and that’s when the officers shot the tiger, she said.

Michael Klein and Daughter Talia Klein Died in Panama Plane Crash

Michael Klein, CEO of the Santa Barbara-based hedge fund Pacificor LLC, his teenage daughter, Talia Klein, and Panamanian pilot Edwin Lasso were killed after their plane crashed On December 23 in the jungle-covered mountains of Chiriqui province in western Panama.

On the day, the plane took off from Islas Secas off the Pacific coast of Panama where they were on vacation at an eco-resort that Michael Klein owns, but went missing in the mountainous area of Panama's western Chiriqui province. They should have been heading for Chiriqui volcano about 620 kilometers (385 miles) west of Panama City.

Francesca Lewis, the 12-year-old friend of Klein's 13-year-old daughter, was the solo survivor of the accident and is now treated a local hospital with hypothermia and multiple traumas.

Michael Klein, 37, was best known for selling his e-Groups e-mail communication service to Yahoo. In the 1990’s, he was president and CEO of e-Groups, the worlds largest e-mail communication service. He sold the business to Yahoo, Inc. for $450 million in August 2000. The company is now known as Yahoo Groups. Oscar Peterson, Canadian Jazz Great, Passed Away

Oscar Peterson [wiki], the great Canadian jazz pianist and composer, died of kidney failure on December 23  at his home in Mississauga, Ontario of Canada. He was 82.

Peterson was one of jazz's most recorded musicians, and was famous for his fast-playing virtuoso style.

He had performed publicly for a time even after a stroke he suffered in 1993 had compromised movement in his left hand.

Great Peterson, who was labelled as 'national treasure' by Canada's Governor General Michaelle Jean, made more than 200 albums and won eight Grammy awards, including a lifetime achievement honour in 1997.

Michelle Rodriguez Serves Jail Sentence

Lost star Michelle Rodriguez  (mugshot left, via) started her 180 day jail sentence yesterday on December 23 two days ahead of the Christmas  after she was charged for violating her probation in a DUI case earlier this year.

The 29-year-old actress was sentenced six months to jail on October 10 after she failed to complete community service and alcohol monitoring as part of her probation from a drunken driving incident happened in 2003.

Rodriguez was booked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, south of downtown Los Angeles, the same jail where Paris Hilton served much of her sentence this June. She will serve the full 180-day term as the judge ruled out the possibility that Rodriguez would  be granted a work furlough, early release or home confinement. Danielle Fischel Arrested On Drunken Driving Warrant

Danielle Fischel--full name Danielle Christine Fishel--former child star and a teen heartthrob on ABC's Boy Meets World, was arrested on Thursday just before 5 a.m. for a drunken driving warrant from Los Angeles County. Danielle Fischel (picture left), usually spelt as Danielle Fishel, was arrested after officers stopped a car she was in, but released from jail shortly after her arrest.

Fishel was born on May 5, 1981 in Mesa, Arizona. She began acting professionally at the age of ten. Since 1991, She spent more than seven years playing Topanga Lawrence, the love interest of "Boy Meets World" star Ben Savage.

Fishel was on the cover of Seventeen in December 1998. She took home a 1998 Young Star for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Comedy TV Series. In June 1999, she was one of "The 21 Hottest Stars Under 21" as presented by Teen People.

In 2006, Fishel appeared as a guest on The Tyra Banks Show where she discussed her dramatic weight loss with the use of NutriSystem. Following her appearance on the show, Fishel became a spokesperson for Nutrisystem. She also became a special correspondent for the Tyra show starting in early February 2007.

Carlos Marroquin, a Guatemalan obesity man who weighed 698 pounds, died of heart failure after undergoing an operation to remove 80 per cent of his stomach in a desperate effort to reduce his weight.

We just mentioned Ms. Arabella Spencer-Churchill (picture left), the granddaughter of British wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill two days ago in the post reporting her son Nicholas Jake Barton sentenced 3 years in Australia for trafficking drugs. The latest reports from media say Arabella Spencer has died, of pancreatic cancer, at her home in Glastonbury, southwest England. She is 58.

Born Oct. 31, 1949, Spencer-Churchill was the daughter of Winston Churchill’s son, Major Randolph Frederick Edward Churchill, and June Osborne. The picture (via) right shows Arabella was with her grandfather Winston Churchill in 1958.

Ms Spencer-Churchill married James Barton in 1972 and then renowned juggler Ian `Haggis' McLeod in 1988. She has the son Jake Barton,34, from the first marriage and one daughter Jessica McLeod, 19, from her marriage to Mr McLeod. In fact, it was Ian McLeod who told his wife's death on December 20 to the media.

Arabella Spencer-Churchill was the founder of the Children's World Charity and the Glastonbury rock festival.

Michael Devlin Given Additional 170 Years In Prison

Michael Devlin, 42, who is already serving multiple life terms for kidnapping and sexually assaulting two Missouri boys, was sentenced on federal charges to an additional 170 years in prison on Friday (Dec 21).

The U.S. District Court judge went well beyond the sentencing guideline of 30 years.

The sentence came on a guilty plea in October from Devlin to six counts of making pornographic photos and videotapes of one of the victims, who was abducted at age 11 in 2001, and another 13-year-old boy who was kidnapped in January.

The accident happened last night at 10 p.m when Hendricks walked out the house door onto the floor above a new garage under construction to see how much work had been completed.

Mars Asteroid to Hit Red Planet?

Mars Asteroid! An asteroid named 2007 WD5 is to have a 1-in-75 chance of hitting Mars, the fourth planet from the sun in our solar system, on January 30, 2008.

If the asteroid with a length of an Olympic-size swimming pool (about 160 feet across) does hit the red planet, the impact of 2007 WD5, which travels at a speed of 28,000 mph, with Mars, will blast a crater half-a-mile wide, said Steve Chesley, a member of NASA's Near Earth Object office at JPL in Pasadena.

"Because scientists have never observed an asteroid impact -- the closest thing being the 1994 collision of comet Shoemaker-Levy with Jupiter -- such a collision on Mars would produce a 'scientific bonanza." Chesley told to the LAT.

The asteroid which was traced only since November is about the size of one that exploded over Siberia in the Tunguska event of 1908 [wiki]. The force of that explosion, the equivalent of 10 million to 20 million tons of TNT, turned hundreds of square miles of forest into a flattened expanse of scorched logs. Update: The possibility of Mars asteroid collision on January 30 is now very low, a January 9 update on the Near-Earth Object Program at the NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said the impact probability is approximately 0.01% or 1 in 10,000 odds.

Since our last update, we have received numerous tracking measurements of asteroid 2007 WD5 from four different observatories. These new data have led to a significant reduction in the position uncertainties during the asteroid's close approach to Mars on Jan. 30, 2008. As a result, the impact probability has dropped dramatically, to approximately 0.01% or 1 in 10,000 odds, effectively ruling out the possible collision with Mars.

Our best estimate now is that 2007 WD5 will pass about 26,000 km from the planet's center (about 7 Mars radii from the surface) at around 12:00 UTC (4:00 am PST) on Jan. 30th. With 99.7% confidence, the pass should be no closer than 4000 km from the surface.

Impact craters are routinely scattered on the surface of moon, but not on the Earth. Meteor Crater in Arizona is one of the best known examples of an impact crater on Earth. The crater is 1.2 kilometers in diameter and 200 meters deep. It formed approximately 49,000 years ago when an iron meteorite that was roughly the size of a school bus struck the Arizona desert east of what is now Flagstaff (via).

Another famous meteror crater on the Earth is Mexico's Chicxulub Meteror Crater on Yutachan peninsular, which was formed when a large asteroid/comet struck the Earth 65 million years ago and believed to be responsible for the die-out of Dinosaurs during the Cretaceous mass extinction. Nataline Sarkisyan Dies After Denied Liver Transplant by Insurer CIGNA

Nataline Sarkisyan (picture left, via) is a 17-year-old girl from Northridge, California. She was diagnosed with leukemia at age 14, and after two years of treatment the cancer went into remission.

When this summer the cancer came back, Nataline Sarkisyan's only sibling Bedig Sarkisyan donated his bone-marrow for the transplant. But Nataline developed a complication from the bone-marrow transplant and, because her liver was failing, doctors recommended a transplant.

However the insurer CIGNA initially denied the transplant for covering the expense, saying Nataline's plan does not cover "experimental, investigational and unproven services."

Possibly due to the pressure originating from the protest staged at outside CIGNA's office in Glendale by around 150 teenagers and nurses on Thursday, CIGNA decided to pay for a liver transplant that doctors said the girl needed.

Unfortunately, Nataline Sarkisyan who had been in a vegetative state for weeks couldn't survive to have a liver transplant. Israel Mireles Arrested in Emily Sander/Zoey Zane Murder

Israel Mireles, the prime suspect in the murder of Emily Sander, was arrested on a homicide warrant in Melchor Muzquiz by the Mexican police. The 24-year-old Israel Mireles was alleged of killing 18-year-old Kansas Butler County Community College student Emily Sander, aka Zoey Zane (picture here) who led a secret life as porn star on the internet, on November 23. Mireles fled to Mexico after he picked up his pregnant 16-year-old girlfriend, Victoria Martens (picture below).

Mexican authorities received several tips to the whereabouts of Israel Mireles and had been monitoring his movements since Dec. 3, but would not take him into custody until they received assurances from the Kansas prosecutor's office that they would not seek the death penalty.

Now Israel Mireles is expected to be extradited back to Kansas, to face a capital murder charge for murder, rape and criminal sodomy, but he finally will not be punished by the death sentence. How sad, such a felony can escape the capital punishment!

Victoria Martens, now with an 8-month-pregnancy, reportedly refused to return back after she was found unharmed. But her mother Sandy Martens is doing everything she possibly can in order to get her back into the States and plans to name her unborn grandchild as Isabelle Marie.

He can't speak Russian or any other language. He has very strong and sharp teeth, which could really endanger someone if he bites. He moves around with his legs half belt. And his toenails are like claws.

Russell Means Announced Lakota Indians' Secession from United States

A delegation of the Lakota Indians led by Russell Means (picture left), an long-time Indian activist and descendant of legendary warriors Sitting Bull (picture below, wikipedia) and Crazy Horse, earlier today declared their independence from the United States, announcing they were unilaterally withdrawing from treaties signed with the federal government 150 years ago.

"We are no longer citizens of the United States of America and all those who live in the five-state area that encompasses our country are free to join us," Russell Means told a handful of reporters and a delegation from the Bolivian embassy, gathered in a church in a run-down neighbourhood of Washington for a news conference.

The five-state area Means referred to includes parts of the five Midwestern US states Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming, where the tribal group want to form a Lakota Country. In this new Lakota nation, the citizens would be issued new passports and driving licences, and live tax-free. Doctors can't explain the reason behind Adams' accelerated growth and therefore cannot offer any treatment. The abnormal height growth might Adams' life much earlier. Disemboweled Girl Abigail Taylor Gets Triple Organs Transplant

Abigail Taylor (picture above) is a 6-year-old girl from Edina, Minnesota. On June 29, Abigail Taylor suffered serious injuries when she sat over an open drain hole in a wading pool at the Minneapolis Golf Club in St. Louis Park and the drain's powerful suction pulled out part of her intestinal tract.

Since then, the poor little girl was hospitalised and was expected to need a feeding tube for the rest of her life.

After she developed liver disease, Abigail Taylor was performed a transplant of a small bowel, liver and pancreas at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on Monday December 17. She's in serious but stable condition.

It will be several months before judging if the operation is successful or not. Doctors now are cautious but optimistic about her recovery.

Alan Langnas, Chief of Transplantation says, "Any patient who undergoes a combined multi-organ transplant has a number of hurdles. They have to recover from a very large surgical procedure. They have to withstand the side effects of anti-rejection medications; they have to deal with the possibility of rejection or other opportunistic problems that can occur after transplantation. So it tends to be a rather bumpy road for the first three to six months after transplantation."

Abigail Taylor will be on our thoughts and sincere prayers!

Jake Nicholas Barton Sentenced 3 Years to Jail

For those who don't know who Jake Nicholas Barton is he is the great-grandson of WWII British prime minister Sir Winston Churchill.

Born to Arabella Spencer Churchill, granddaughter of Sir Winston, and James J. Barton in 1973, Jake Nicholas Barton (picture left, handcuffed) is 34 years old.

He was arrested at his Sydney home in June 2006 during a series of raids in which officers seized some 250,000 ecstasy tablets worth around US$13 million and 18 kg of MDMA - the powder used to make the drug - with a street value of $2.5 million.

Barton pleaded guilty in the District Court in Sydney on November 20 to involvement in the multi-million dollar party drug syndicate, thus facing a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

Paul Karason Is The Man Who Turned Blue

Meet Paul Karason, the man turns blue! Paul Karason, 57, has a rare blue skin condition. He originally lived at Oregon but now had moved to Madera, California.

He started the gradual transition from fair skin into a dark blue colour 14 years ago.

The cause of his discoloration may be linked to a substance he once drunk called colloidal silver, which is made by extracting silver from metal. A medical condition called Argyria has been linked to such discoloration since the days when silver solutions were used as antibiotics.

Karason does not believe drinking the potion is what caused his discoloration, but does believe it happened because he rubbed it on his face to treat a skin problem.

David Rubenstein Bid Magna Carta for US$21.3M at New York Sotheby Auction

David Rubenstein (picture left, credit: Justin Lane/EPA),  who once was a domestic policy advisor to former president Jimmy Carter, is a co-founder of the Washington-based Carlyle Group private equity firm. He was instantly catapulted to the international fame by paying US$21.3m (a compromised price of $30M early estimated) for a 13th-century Magna Carta [wikipedia]  auctioned at Sotheby's in New York yesterday December 18. This is the first time a copy of the historical charter has been sold by public auction. Mr. David Rubenstein will remain the 800-year-old law document on public display by loaning to US National Archives.

This only copy in US which was presented by British WII Prime Minister Winston Churchill to the Americas was issued in 1297 by King Edward I, when the Magna Carta formally became part of English law, more than 80 years after it was written. It is one of only 17 in existence and the only one in private ownership.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (picture above, via) was named as Person of the Year (2007) by Time magazine on Wednesday December 19, for his "extraordinary feat of leadership in taking a country that was in chaos and bringing it stability."  But during his tenure as Russian President, Putin, aka the new czar of Russia, has also been alleged of moving the country away from Russia's democratic reforms of the 1990s by limiting civil liberties, cracking on free speech and tightening control of parliament. White House Fire! Eisenhower Executive Office Building Burned

 

Eisenhower Executive Office, where houses the vice president Dick Cheney's ceremonial offices, was hit by a fire this morning. Thick smoke and flames (picture above) was sighted inside the historic building, it took firefighters one hour to put out the fire which was not a terrorism attack but might have started in an electrical closet or telephone bank area on the building's third floor. Luckily there were no injuries. Vice President Dick Cheney's working offices are in the West Wing of the White House, and he was not in the EEOB at the time of the fire, according to CNN. Having two grandsons Jaydeny James and Sean Preston, Jamie Lynne Spears was apparently shocked to hear the news that she is soon to have a third grandchild.

Jose Espinosa & Otis Blunt's 'Shawshank'-Style Jailbreak

Jose Espinosa, 20, and Otis Blunt, 32, reportedly staged a "'Shawshank'-style jailbreak at the Union County jail in New Jersey. The twosome used photos of bikini-clad women to hide holes they used to escape and left behind a thank-you note, signed with a smiley face, for a guard they claimed helped them.

They squeezed through the openings sometime before dawn Saturday on December 15 in a high-security unit of the jail, jumped onto a rooftop below, and made it over a 25-foot-high fence topped with razor wire. Until now they are still at large. Anyone run across the suspects who look like Espinosa and Blunt, don't hesitate to contact your local police, as these two men are very dangerous!

The jailbreak is reminiscent of one in the movie The Shawshank Redemption in which the main character, an inmate, uses posters of women, including of a bikini-clad Raquel Welch, to conceal an escape tunnel he had been digging. Lee Thomas, is a anchor and reporter from FOX-affiliated FOX2 Detroit station. This 40-year-old gentleman suffers a syndrome called vitiligo[wiki]. His once brown, even complexion is now mottled with pale patches around his eyes and mouth, along his nose and on his ears; his arms, shoulders and chest are speckled and blotched. John Berg Commited Suicide At Home

John Berg, who appeared in shows such as House M.D. and Monk and soap operas such as General Hospital and The Young and the Restless, was found dead in his home on the 6500 block of Nagle Avenue in Van Nuys, California on Sunday (Dec 16). He was 58.

The cause of his death was disclosed as apparent suicide after authorities found large amounts of carbon monoxide in his system.

Sandrama Lamy, a 33-year-old woman from Danbury of Connecticut, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault on a man playing Santa Claus at the Danbury Fair Mall. On Saturday December 15, Sandrama Lamy went shopping at the mall and possibly was attracted by the Santa's performance. But don't know how, the woman managed to sit on the man's lap and consequently might have touch the man inappropriately.  Later the police were called to the spot and took Sandrama Lamy away after they were told she sexually assaulted on the man. Denise Martin, a school lunch lady from Massachusetts who finished the fourth on the finale of CBS's Survivor: China (the winner is Todd Herzog, a former Southwest flight steward and openly gay) said she’d been demoted to janitor because of her participation in the show. Denise Martin's claim had prompted the Survivor boss Mark Burnett granted her $50,000.  But Martin's superior Douglas Schools Superintendent Nancy Lane said she was actually promoted to full-time custodian in March, a job which came with more benefits and higher pay. Alizee Poulicek, who is from a French-speaking part of Belgium, got booed by the audience in the Miss Belgium 2008 contest when she didn't understand a question in Dutch. And while this didn't stop Poulicek from being awarded the Miss Belgium crown, some say it further highlights the tensions between the French and Dutch speaking communities in Belgium. The country has been unable to form a new government since the general election six months ago, leading to speculation that Belgium could split into French- and Dutch-speaking regions.
