The 30ft (9m) erection, named Sky Pillar, has been built at Longwan Shaman Amusement Park in Changchun city, China's Jilin Provine. It was built by wrapping more than 6,500ft of straw around a steel structure which stands on an altar atop 1,250ft (300) high Qinlong Hill. Links: Ananova | TOM
