The 176-year-old, 150-kilogram giant Galapagos tortoise, named Harriet, is believed to have once been studied by famed English naturalist Charles Darwin, has died in Australia after suffering a heart failure.

Harriet, the world's oldest tortoise, (recongnised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's oldest living animal) originally named Harry, was once mistakenly identified as male, not until a rectification was made after more than a century.
